Trainer Assessor - Temporary Traffic Management
GO Training Pty Ltd (RTO Code: 45757) delivers Temporary Traffic Management training under the National Training Framework for Temporary Traffic Management in Victoria. Go Training is affiliated with a Traffic Management company which allows us to ensure practical placement of students.
We are currently seeking Casual Trainers in Ballarat and/or Regional Victoria to deliver Temporary Traffic Management courses and the Construction Induction course. GO Training also has Workplace Spotters, Manual Handling and First Aid courses on its scope of registration.
All courses will be conducted between Monday to Friday during the day with occasional travel required.
Ideally you will already hold the new Traffic Controller (TC1 & TC2) and Traffic Management Implementer (TMI1 & TMI2) qualifications. However, if you have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the Traffic Industry and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, the organisation will provide required formal training.
If not, and you have worked in the Traffic industry for a minimum of two years – then we can train you to bring you up to date with the latest qualifications, if you have the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Your Duties will include:
* Preparing the classroom to ensure its ready for class each day
* Transporting the traffic training equipment and resources to each class for performance training
* Delivery of courses
* Marking of assessments
* Maintaining and monitoring students' progress
* Adhering to the RTO Standards and compliance obligations
To be eligible you must possess the following:
* Temporary Traffic Management Trainer qualifications: As of March 2024, trainers and assessors must hold TAE40116/TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or its successor).
* Industry qualifications: Current Traffic Management Ticket, Construction Induction Statement of Attainment and Construction Induction card (White card), Traffic Management Statements of Attainment.
* If you do not hold the following qualifications, we will still consider your application if you have two years traffic management industry experience:
* RIISS00058 – Traffic Controller – Urban Streets and Low Volume Rural Roads
* RIISS00059 – Traffic Controller – High Volume Roads
* RIISS00060 – Traffic Management Implementer – Urban Streets and Low Volume Rural Roads
* RIISS00061 – Traffic Management Implementer - High Volume Rural Roads
Construction Induction Trainer
You must be able to provide evidence of the following.
As of March 2024, trainers and assessors must hold:
* TAE40116/TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or its successor).
* Industry qualifications: CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, Victorian Construction Induction card issued by WorkSafe Victoria, CPCCWHS2001 - Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry (Essential to deliver CPCWHS1001).
We are looking for a trainer that is keen, enthusiastic, energetic and has a delivery style that engages the students. The suitable candidate must be well organised, prepared, punctual and professional in all areas of the job.
Students are from a variety of backgrounds and age groups. The successful candidate must be able to think on their feet to adjust the session to the needs of each individual group.

Assessor Requirements
Assessors must be able to clearly demonstrate current and relevant industry knowledge and experience to satisfy the mandatory competency standards as set out in the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 requirements for assessor's current at the time of assessment and any relevant licensing and certification requirements.
