About You:

A PhD or equivalent higher research degree in a relevant academic field, along with professional qualifications like Fellowship of a recognized College of Ophthalmologists.
An international reputation as a leader in their discipline, supported by a strong research profile, including competitive grants, high-quality publications, and recognition within the broader research community.
A distinguished record of supervising higher degree research students, demonstrated by successful student outcomes, impact on learning, recognition through awards, and innovation in supervision.
A wide network of established relationships with key academic, industry, and professional partners and stakeholders, which can be leveraged to enhance the Faculty and University's profile.
Significant experience in people leadership and management within the higher education sector, with a demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor, and support others to succeed.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of key strategic issues facing the higher education and research sectors.
