The Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (CMTEDD) People and Capability Branch is seeking a highly motivated and experienced WHS Practitioner to fill the role of Assistant Director, CMTEDD WHS Coordination Support. The role provides central support, advice and assistance to Directorate WHS Coordinators to support their Senior Executive Group Managers embed and manage the requirements of CMTEDD’s WHS Management System – PeopleSafety. Key aspects of the role include: working in partnership with business area WHS Coordinators, particularly those in areas without dedicated resources, to provide qualified and experienced WHS advice and support to uplift compliance with PeopleSafety; developing a community of practice network that will provide an enhanced support framework for WHS Coordinators to share best practice, increase collective WHS knowledge, and improve WHS management practices and governance; developing WHS Coordinator resources and guides; supporting the work of the CMTEDD WHS Coordinator; and undertaking WHS coordination functions where there are gaps. While working independently to deliver key tasks will be essential, the role will also consult, collaborate and contribute to a workplace where people are encouraged to improve results and enhance a positive culture on matters relating to health, safety and wellbeing. Eligibility/Other Requirements: Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety, or related field, are highly desirable. Extensive industry experience will be highly regarded.
