They are seeking a Payroll Clerk/Officer to join their team on a 12-month contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to do hands-on, high-volume payroll and grow your skills under the guidance of experienced professionals.
About the role:
As the Payroll Clerk, you will join a team of three, contributing to the weekly payroll for nearly 1000 staff. You will assist with processing payroll for wage employees and provide information for labour hire, using their specific payroll software system. Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with processing the payroll;
* Handling electronic and paper-based, manual leave forms and allowances;
* Interpreting awards and agreements to ensure correct payments;
* Managing payroll tax and superannuation; and
* Ensuring compliance with Workcover policy and legislation.
About you:
To be successful in the role, you will have experience in managing and conducting payroll and we will accept applications from applicants from any size of business because the principle remains the same. You will ideally possess high-level computer skills, including prior experience with a payroll system, and excellent interpersonal skills in order to handle payroll queries and work with your colleagues.
