AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centres and all of the servers, storage, networking, power and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. To be eligible for this role you will need to hold or be able to obtain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain inventory to support build and repair activities.
* Physically receive and issue parts to internal customers.
* Load, unload and transport parts between sites.
* Keep accurate stock records through physical cycle counts.
* Maintain safety, organization and cleanliness using Amazon 7S principles.
Travel
* May require travel to other sites in the Melbourne metro area to conduct cycle counts, replenish stock and return defective stock. Travel between sites will require own transport and all travel related costs will be reimbursed.
Physical / Environmental Demands
* Loading and unloading shipments.
* Standing, sitting and walking (including stairs) for prolonged periods of time.
* Willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and kneel.
* Reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance.
* Push or pull heavy objects of up to 16kg into position and participate in group lifts of 20kg or more.
* Coordinate body movements when using tools or equipment.
* Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts.
* Work in an office and warehouse environment where the noise level is low to moderate.
A Day in the Life
Your day will involve carrying out logistical support functions for our Data Centres. This will involve physical control and processing of spare parts transactions, consumables stock replenishment and cycle counting of stock.
Basic Qualifications
* 1+ year of program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation or equivalent experience.
* Valid and active driver's license.
* Experience in inventory management, process improvement and shipping & receiving.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, import/export operations or data entry/data administration.
