The group is the Australian subsidiary of the family-owned Wemyss Development Company Ltd, based in Edinburgh, UK, with over 60 years in business within Australia, and a commitment to continue focusing on growth. To achieve this goal, we are currently seeking to recruit a motivated and reliable Cropping Farm Hand to join our team in supporting a large-scale broadacre farming operation. The property runs a 9,500-hectare mixed cropping program, primarily focused on cereals and grain production.
About the Role
You'll be hands-on with all aspects of broadacre cropping, including:
* Operating and maintaining modern machinery equipped with Controlled Traffic Farming (CTF) systems and Variable Rate Technology (VRT)
* Seeding, spraying, fertilising, and harvesting operations
* General farm duties including fencing and equipment maintenance
* Ensuring strict compliance with WHS policies for a safe work environment
What We're Looking For
* Cropping experience is essential
* MC licence preferred (or willingness to obtain)
* Strong understanding of modern farming technology (CTF & VRT)
* Commitment to safe work practices and ability to work independently or in a team
* Physically fit, dependable, and safety-conscious
