HauLec is a specialist electrical service provider operating in the NSW coalfields. We supply labour, technical support and parts to customers in the Hunter Valley, Gunnedah & Mudgee regions. We specialise in the service and support of Electric drive mobile equipment and are passionate about the work we do.
Qualifications & experience
* Cert 3 electro-technology (electrician) or Cert 3 in Automotive Electrical
* 2 year + experience on mobile mining equipment. Rail & other heavy industries can be considered.
* OEM experience highly regarded.
* HV Switching ticket (HV Electricians only)
* Current coal board medical desirable.
* First aid/CPR/Low voltage rescue.
* High risk work licences highly regarded.
* Electrical Supervisors/Contractors Licence (HV only)
* Must have right to work in Australia, visa positions are not available.
Tasks & responsibilities
* Maintenance & breakdown works on High Voltage mining equipment, including but not limited to Komatsu, Hitachi, Letourneau, Liebherr, Unit Rig.
* Maintenance of mining support equipment such as 2-ways, collision avoidance systems, fleet management/dispatch systems.
* Air conditioning servicing and repairs.
* Compile service reports & interact with customers.
* Willingness to work away from home when required.
* Ability to work safely & efficiently in breakdown situations.
* Maintain safety standards at all times including: Adhering to site PPE requirements - Completing take 5's - Completing JSA's for complex tasks - Reporting & rectifying workplace hazards.
