Job Description:
Operational Leadership Role
The role of Operations Supervisor is a key position within our organisation, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of employees and ensuring the safe completion of operational tasks.
* Oversight and management of business unit performance: Labour costs, individual/business unit Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and individual performance management.
* Supporting and implementing continuous improvement projects: Route optimisation, implementation of new procedures, in-cab technology, and team development.
* Ensuring compliance with legislative and internal policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment: Fatigue audits, vehicle inspections, site inspections, team training modules, and employee onboarding.
* Co-ordinating with internal and external stakeholders to maximise customer service and operational efficiencies: Complaint resolution, procedural changes, toolboxes.
Key Requirements:
* People-focused leadership with a transport & logistics background.
* Excellent time management skills and ability to effectively manage timeframes.
* Knowledge of industrial/employee relations legislation.
* Health and safety management systems and legislation.
* HR licence is beneficial but not essential.
* Supervisory and teamwork experience, ideally within a unionised environment.
