Our client is looking for a Mid-Senior Android Developer to support and extend a flagship Android platform used in large-scale production environments. This role will focus on developing and maintaining Android library modules, enhancing an established production codebase, and ensuring seamless compatibility across Android versions.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain Android library modules across the platform.
* Implement new features with a strong focus on performance, stability, and maintainability.
* Refactor and enhance a large, established production codebase.
* Work extensively with Android lifecycle components, services, and background processing.
* Ensure backward compatibility and manage Android version migrations.
* Debug production issues and improve runtime reliability.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and robust platform solutions.
* Produce and maintain clear technical documentation.
Skills and Experience
* Experience in Android development
* Strong proficiency in Kotlin.
* Solid understanding of Android lifecycle, services, and background execution.
* Experience working within large, production Android codebases.
* Demonstrated experience delivering backward-compatible changes and managing platform migrations.
* Experience working with media playback components or deeper Android platform features (such as system apps, privileged permissions, or AOSP) is deiriable (not mandatory)
