As RACT continues to create more value for Tasmanians, we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team as our Corporate Communications Manager.

This permanent full-time role leads RACT's corporate communications, to strengthen RACT's trusted reputation and support the effectiveness of RACT's advocacy program. Working across the business, the role incorporates public relations, media management, and crisis communications.

The Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for the development and delivery of key corporate documents including our Annual Report and modern slavery reporting. Working collaboratively with the Brand and Community team, this role ensures integrated and consistent communication across RACT.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

* Lead corporate communications – planning and strategy, issues management advice, support and communications to stakeholders, manage crisis communications planning and execution, serving as an advisor during critical incidents.

* Support and deliver annual advocacy and corporate communications strategy and plan, integrating with brand communications, marketing and other corporate communication activities.

* Development and management of RACT's corporate communications including Annual Report and other public documents, including oversight of agency and contractor delivery and adherence to brand.

* Proactively identify media and content opportunities to secure prominent and positive coverage that positions RACT in line with strategic and brand objectives.

* Support the office of the GCEO via advice and communication support, such as speeches and written communications.

* Integrate PR activities into broader communications and content plans.

* Represent RACT in external communication forums.

* Support RACT advocacy programs in developing communities of interest to support outcomes.

* Assist with preparing budgets, manage costs and allocate expenditure in line with forecasts. Develop and manage effectiveness reporting for programs.

* Contract management and value delivery.

Successful candidates will have:

* Formal qualifications in an appropriate field of study (Arts, Marketing, Media, Communication, Journalism).

* Significant experience in corporate communications strategy or public relations role, developing a broad range of communications tailored to the relevant audiences via appropriate channels.

* Proactive approach to storytelling, seeking insights and developing a compelling narrative in line with corporate objectives.

* Knowledge and networks within the Tasmanian media environment.

* Technical understanding of contemporary digital content delivery.

* Exceptional writing and communication skills, including editing, writing and proof-reading expertise.

* Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work across business areas to support outcomes.

* Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering multifaceted corporate and communication projects and programs.

* Demonstrated desire to be part of a Tasmanian organisation that actively engages with and supports our community.

* Demonstrated knowledge of corporate social responsibility principles and practice.
