Chandler Macleod in partnership with a National Logistics client, are seeking a seasoned and highly experienced Warehouse and Logsitics Manager, based in Melbourne.
This role has a mix of
**_Melbourne and Regional_** operational duties, so travel within Victoria will be required upon occasion.
The Warehouse & Logistics Manager will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of logistics, warehouse and stock management.
**Main Responsibilities**:

**Logistics**:
- Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies, and processes across the organisation to improve operational and financial performance
- Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
- Oversee and manage logistics utilized to transport products to customers, communicating with drivers to ensure efficient delivery of packages
- Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements
- Recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimisation opportunities
- Review impact of logistics changes, such as routing, product volumes or carriers and report results to Customer Care.
- Assess and make recommendations for logistics processes in potential recent facilities or plants and advise of cost implications and efficiency
- Determine cost of logistics deliveries in conjunction with the Customer Care Team for new or recontracting customers
- Provide a 24/7 on call management system
- Implement the Fleet and Maintenance Procurement strategy
**Warehouse & Stock Management**:
- Ensure the warehouse operates efficiently, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals
- Manage all warehouse and storage locations across the business
- Ensure physical and system inventory accuracy and manage stock movements for internal stakeholders
- Ensure all stock levels are at specified levels with key stakeholders by leading the stock ordering proces
- Direct, optimize and coordinate the full stock order cycle
- Identify savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the warehouse and stock management process
- Interpret trends and analyse and review data. Provide meaningful logistics data to others in the organisation to aid customer service and cost improvements
- Ensure IT systems in place are effective, maintained, and accurate
- Ensure metrics, reports, and process documentation is available
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Intermediate Computer use
- Ability to meet short and/or urgent deadlines
- Ability to resolve disputes through negotiation or mediation with individuals or groups
- A minimum _7 years’ experience_ in a logistics and warehouse management
- Proven ability to manage budgets and rosters
- Proven ability to prioritise and focus on the key requirements of the position
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Current Medium Rigid Licence (Manual)
- Satisfactory completion of Police Check/s
- Hold majority of Demerit Points Check/s on Licence
