Your new role
The Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) Service supports SAPOL's frontline policing and corporate operations through ICT infrastructure, communication platforms, operational software, and support services. The Service drives the evolution of ICT capabilities via high-quality change programs, structured into four pillars: Strategy, Innovation and Engagement; Program Delivery; Operational Services; and Security and Assurance. Program Delivery manages a large portfolio of projects, including infrastructure, business systems, and digital transformation initiatives.
The IS&T Project Manager is responsible for managing large, complex IT solutions and projects, providing leadership to project teams, and building relationships with stakeholders, sponsors, and suppliers.
What you'll need to succeed
* Extensive experience managing ICT projects, especially large and complex ones involving significant business change
* Proven skills in project management, including scheduling, resource management, scope, risks, issues, budgets, and quality assurance
* Experience with PRINCE2 or similar methodologies
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
* Leadership in resource management, staff guidance, and stakeholder conflict resolution
* Knowledge of BPR, app development, QA processes, and SDLC tools and techniques
Special Conditions
* Must hold current Australian work eligibility and pass a criminal history check
* May be assigned other duties at the same remuneration level
* Some out-of-hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required
