Operations Analyst - Commodities Markets and Financing Operations
Join our energetic, engaged and highly skilled Commodity Markets and Finance Support Team in Sydney. Our team manages all post‐execution trade lifecycle processes across global financial Metals, Agriculture, Commodity Investor Products, Power, Gas and Emissions markets. We provide client service to both internal and external clients of the Commodity Markets and Finance Division, primarily supporting the Japanese Power business in the Asian Markets.

What role will you play?
In this role you will utilise your Japanese language skills to support the Japanese Power business within the Asian Power, Gas and Emissions (APGE) division, while also contributing to broader activities across the APGE business. You will be gaining exposure to a wide range of power, gas, and emissions products traded by the CMF Division, including physical commodities as well as Swaps, Options, Futures, Forwards and other structured derivatives. You will be verifying transactions against trade recaps and broker notes, drafting ISDA‐based and bespoke confirmations, processing incoming client confirmations, and managing settlements across all commodities. You will also be reviewing daily reconciliations to ensure trade, inventory, cash, and nostro positions are accurate, compiling and submitting monthly regulatory reports to internal stakeholders, and providing internal and external client service.
In addition, you will be building strong working relationships with Traders, Credit, Legal, Finance, Technology and other support teams, while collaborating with both local and global CMF Operations teams to identify, coordinate and implement process improvements. As part of your responsibilities, you will be drafting and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures and contributing to ongoing enhancements in operational efficiency across the function.
