Job Description:
The Director of Operations plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth delivery of teaching, learning and externally based programs within the College. This strategic leadership position is responsible for managing operational systems, timetables, daily operations, events, compliance processes and administrative systems.
Key Responsibilities include operational management, preparing staffing, rooming, and supervision plans for major assessments, being present at testing events, working with the Relief Coordinator to manage relief staffing, managing staff rosters and duty allocations, overseeing timetable adjustments and room allocations, and leading the development, maintenance and review of the College timetable.
* Operational Management
* Prepare staffing, rooming, and supervision plans for NAPLAN, OLNA, Progressive Achievement Testing, PISA and TIMMS testing, ATAR exams and other major assessments.
* Be present at the start of all key testing events ensuring that expectations are met.
* Work with Relief Coordinator to manage relief staffing and make adjustments where necessary.
* Manage staff rosters and duty allocations.
* Oversee timetable adjustments and room allocations.
* Lead the development, maintenance and review of the College timetable, ensuring alignment with enrolments, subject selection, class size, staffing and College priorities.
Event & Program Coordination
* Oversee Parent/Student/Teacher Interviews, including scheduling, communications and logistics.
* Organise roster for staff supervision for PST Interviews and any other Curriculum Leadership Team supervision.
* Manage photography days, including liaison with Marketing Manager, photographers and distribution of photos.
* Lead Careers education programs and oversee VET pathways, work experience and post-school transition planning.
* Build partnerships with universities, training providers and industry to expand opportunities for students.
Learning Support Coordination
* Oversee the organisation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring documentation of adjustments for students with additional needs.
* Coordinate communication between Learning Support, students, families and external agencies.
Essential Requirements:
* Senior teaching qualification and substantial leadership experience.
* Strong organisational expertise: Proficiency with data systems and software and a willingness to develop skills in Edval.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills: The role involves coordinating with various stakeholders and leading operations across the school.
