About the Role:
Nepean Longwall is seeking an experienced Leading Hand Boilermaker to join our night shift team. This is a hands-on leadership role, supporting our underground longwall operations. You will lead a small team of tradespeople, ensuring maintenance, repairs, and fabrication are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor a team of boilermakers on night shift operations.
* Carry out maintenance, repairs, and fabrication of longwall equipment.
* Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.
* Coordinate with supervisors to schedule and prioritise tasks.
* Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide technical guidance.
* Maintain accurate work records and reports.
Requirements:
* Trade-qualified Boilermaker with extensive underground/longwall experience.
* Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
* Strong understanding of WHS and underground mining safety practices.
* Ability to work night shift reliably.
* High level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and team management skills.
