The Opportunity
As a Home & Living Support Coordinator (Housing Specialist) / Community Engagement Specialist, you will use your knowledge of housing, tenancy, and the NDIS to secure safe, sustainable housing outcomes for participants.
You will build referral pathways, advocate for participants in the housing system, and represent ADC within the community. This is a relationship-driven, field-based role ideal for someone who enjoys working independently while making a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Support participants to identify and achieve their Home & Living and NDIS goals
* Source and secure housing through private rental, public housing, SIL, SDA, and ILO pathways
* Build and maintain relationships with SIL/SDA providers, housing organisations, and real estate agents
* Advocate for participants during rental applications, tenancy negotiations, and tribunal matters
* Having network of allied health or similar
* Coordinate documentation and evidence for NDIS housing funding applications
* Develop and maintain referral networks with:
o NDIS Support Coordinators
o Schools and specialist education providers
o Councils and advocacy organisations
o Hospitals, aged care providers, and community services
* Promote ADC services and support client acquisition and onboarding
* Conduct participant intake, assessments, and onboarding
* Prepare and manage service agreements, schedules of support, and invoices
* Provide occasional on-call support if required

Who You Are
You are a motivated professional with experience in housing, tenancy advocacy, property management, or NDIS support coordination who is passionate about helping people access safe housing.

Essential Requirements
* Full Australian working rights
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Current Working with Children Check
* Valid driver’s licence and reliable, insured vehicle
* Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in:
o Community Services
o Social Work
o Property Services
o Disability, Housing, or Support Coordination
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Knowledge of NDIS
* Experience with CRM systems such as ShiftCare, Employment Hero/Quickbooks, BrightHR, or similar
* Strong communication, administration, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
