Lifestyle Village Manager

Aspen Group is a specialist provider of quality accommodation on competitive terms. We are a successful and fast growing company that is listed ASX. We have a large portfolio of over 4000 rentals dwellings and sites. South Australia is one of our key markets with a substantial portfolio of existing sites and dwellings and a large development pipeline.

We are seeking a personable, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to manage the Aspen Lifestyle Strathalbyn. As the Village Manager you will be responsible for the operation of the property on a part-time basis, developing and maintaining strong relationships with residents and other key stakeholders, while driving Aspen's strategic vision for the community.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Interaction with residents, resident's committees and the local community as required
* Managing a small number of employees/contractors for the property
* Ensuring the Village is presented to the highest standards (including proactively managing property maintenance and repairs)
* Assisting with establishing budgets and ensuring control of all property expenses
* Working closely with the SA Operations Manager and Head Office in Sydney
* Administering CAPEX programs for the property
* Managing WH&S, including reporting, on-site inspections and investigations as required
* Sales for new and existing Lifestyle Village Homes, meeting company reporting requirements through the relevant sales platform. The Village currently has 12 houses under construction with a further 16 to be built to complete the Village
* Networking with the local community, building on the proud reputation of the Village

The applicant will ideally have the following skills and attributes:

* Previous relevant management experience ideally in residential or lifestyle/ retirement management or a similar role
* Previous experience in retirement, land lease or residential sales (or similar)
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Energetic 'can do' attitude
* Genuine interest in a fast-growing industry
* Strong attention to detail and time management focus
* Problem solving skills
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal
* Knowledge of retirement / park living legislation an advantage
* Strong organisational skills and experience with Microsoft Office (word, excel etc)
* Experience with accounting packages
* Current drivers license
* National police clearance and an insolvency check.

Employment Basis and Remuneration

* The advertised position is a part-time position starting at three days per week, with flexibility as to preferred workdays
* Scope to increase hours over time, in line with the development of the Village
* The remuneration package will be tailored to the successful candidate's skill set and time requirements and will comprise a competitive base salary + sales commission.
