A Major Banking Separation Program is requiring a Senior Wintel / Linux Engineer with strong VMware experience to clone, stand up, and operationalise a new Windows/Linux VM environment. This is a significant program of work where you’ll play a pivotal role cloning environments and supporting the delivery of a brand-new greenfield enterprise infrastructure platform that will underpin future banking operations. The Role You will lead the end-to-end cloning of a VMware environment, working closely with security teams, delivery partners, and business stakeholders to ensure the platform is robust, secure, scalable, and independent of the parent bank infrastructure. You’ll also contribute to technical direction, standards, and operational readiness to ensure the environment meets performance, resilience, compliance, and cybersecurity requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead the cloning and build-out of a greenfield enterprise infrastructure environment to support the banking separation. Strong hands-on VMware cloning experience across Windows and Linux VMs. Support and oversee migration activities from the bank’s infrastructure to a standalone environment. Provide technical leadership across delivery teams and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles. Contribute to standards, operational readiness, and platform stability.
