Job Overview
Wood is currently seeking expressions of interest for a SMP Supervisor with Power Industry experience to work in central Queensland for a potential start in February.
The SMP Supervisor will provide day‐to‐day supervision of Structural, Mechanical and Piping teams, ensuring safety, operational reliability, quality, financial and productivity targets are met. The role includes supervising multiple activities and work groups, ensuring consistency, efficiency and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Foster and maintain a collaborative, high‐performing client‐oriented culture of safety and continuous improvement.
* Lead client workforce to support delivery of the contract's strategic objectives.
* Ensure compliance with the client's Permit to Work System.
* Develop, review and understand all Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and ensure all associated paperwork is completed.
* Resolve safety issues promptly and communicate safety matters with work teams.
* Report all incidents using the Loss Prevention System (LPS).
* Lead and participate in investigations, implement actions and communicate lessons learned at weekly site safety meetings.
* Maintain a zero tolerance for unsafe acts or behaviours and implement Just & Fair culture processes as required.
* Initiate safety, quality and environmental processes including toolbox meetings, inspections and risk assessment and control.
* Assign appropriate resources to complete tasks, ensuring quality delivery and preventing rework.
* Assist scheduler in planning and coordinating the maintenance program.
* Prioritise, schedule and monitor work undertaken by trades, optimising resources for timely and cost‐effective services.

* Significant experience as an SMP Supervisor.
