We are seeking Lighting Artists who can blend artistic with technical expertise to craft visually stunning work for our stories.
About the Role:
This is a Lighting Artist position where you will navigate from shot lighting to final lighting, meeting project deadlines and milestones. As a team member, you will work closely with Supervisors and Leads to design and create lighting for scenes of varying complexity. You will also collaborate closely with Lighting Leads and team members to modify and adapt existing lighting rigs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Navigate from shot lighting to final lighting, meeting project deadlines and milestones
* Design and create lighting for scenes of varying complexity in collaboration with Supervisors and Leads
* Modify and adapt existing lighting rigs in close collaboration with Lighting Leads and team members
* Tackle visual challenges using industry-standard lighting tools such as Katana or Houdini and contribute to testing new tool developments
* Composite separate render layers into a final image that aligns with the vision of the Director, Production Designer, and Visual Effects Supervisor using Nuke
* Communicate with Lighting Lead and Production about current shot progress and any updates
* Collaborate with grace, humility, inclusion, and open-mindedness
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have solid experience in lighting for animated feature films, live-action feature films, or animated TV series. Comprehensive knowledge of cinematography and the visual artistic elements of animated films is essential. You should also be experienced with industry-standard lighting tools and proficient in using Nuke.
