Environmental and Sustainability Advisor Role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental and Sustainability Advisor to join our project team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects while maintaining high standards of environmental sustainability.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science or a related field, with experience in managing onsite environmental systems and developing environmental reporting systems. You will also be responsible for coordinating sustainability project objectives, conducting sustainability reviews, and consulting with stakeholders on environmental and sustainability issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise with project teams to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
* Manage onsite environmental systems to minimize environmental impacts.
* Develop and maintain environmental/sustainability reporting systems to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
* Coordinate sustainability project objectives to align with organizational goals.
* Conduct regular sustainability reviews to assess current practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Consult with stakeholders on environmental and sustainability issues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years of relevant environmental or sustainability advisory construction experience.
* Involved in the delivery of an Infrastructure Sustainability Council Design and/or As Built Rating (highly desirable).
* Degree in Environmental Science or equivalent.
* Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional (highly desirable).
* Knowledge & understanding of Commonwealth, State, Acts, Regulations and Australian Standards.
* Specialist working knowledge in a key sustainability aspect such as energy and emissions, heritage, workforce sustainability, water, sustainable procurement, circular economy (highly desirable).
* Knowledge & understanding of environmental monitoring - noise, dust, vibration and water.
* Knowledge of ISO 14001 requirements and license approval process.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
