In this role, you will be reporting directly to the owners Ross, Kate and Peter Yelland.
You will be expected to perform a range of duties unsupervised.
After 12 months in this role, you will be expected to increase your responsibilities and require less supervision in all aspects of the role.
You will be invited to participate in industry events and workshops to improve your skills and knowledge that will be of value to yourself and the business.

Ensure all properties, equipment, infrastructure and livestock are kept in a presentable, tidy and workable condition
Role and Responsibilities
Business Management:
Management of business cashflow, accounting, debt management and finance
Participate in the annual review process with financiers
Conduct monthly meetings with staff and owners
Have direct interaction and reporting to financiers, accountants and other business advisors on a minimum of a monthly basis
Have a clear understanding of generating revenue and profit with twelve monthly sales programs, budgets, sales targets and weights
Cashflow budgeting with several options to cater for climatic and commodity price changes
Identify opportunities for land expansion and/or business expansion, particularly within the local area
Be responsible for the lodgment of quarterly BAS statements
Accounts payable relating to the farm business
Negotiation with contractors, livestock agents and grain buyers
WH & S programs
Oversee purchases of all farm inputs
Manage the major capital projects, including design, budget and implementation of construction
Livestock Management
Manage grass inventory with stocking rate and the tools provided to aid in current and future grass growth
Maintain accurate records of numbers, animal health records, mob data and paddock production data
Manage livestock welfare
Sales plans along with end users and livestock agents
Maintain current QA programs
Breeding programs
Livestock purchases and trades
Staff / Contractors / Land Owners
Supervise and educate staff
Develop clear communication procedures
Foster safe work practices and safe operation of vehicles including how to operate
Be involved with remuneration processes
Accountability for staff members regarding their allocated tasks, safety and quality of work delivery
Agistment property relationships
Property Maintenance
You will be responsible for maintaining the properties at a very high level, including capital infrastructure, machinery, farm hygiene, weeds, roads, fencing, water infrastructure, timber, rocks, chemical and hazardous substance storage and disposal
Safe storage of dangerous goods and veterinary products
Implement new capital works in a tidy, presentable manner
Administration
Attend monthly farm meeting
Quarterly meeting with key business stakeholders including owners, financiers and accountants
Record keeping and documentation of daily activities
File and storage of all records relating to farm business activity
Clear communication processes with all key stakeholders
Annual Leave
4 weeks annual leave, accrued weekly, may be taken after the 12-month trial period
Hours
Minimum 38 hours per week, daily start and end times negotiated
Seasonal role; may be required to work outside of normal operating hours, including weekends and nights
Remuneration
$80,000-$120,000 negotiable per annum, plus 12% of ordinary salary in superannuation to nominated account
