Child and Family Cultural Support Worker | Longreach | Remote Area Family Service
Employment Term: Part time, Maximum Term to 30 June 2026 (38 hours per fortnight).
Location: Longreach
Remuneration: $44.58 per hour + Super + $15,900 NFP Salary Packaging & $2,650 for meals & entertainment
Responsibilities
- Support early childhood development, parenting resilience and mobile services to communities
- Develop and implement programs to strengthen family relationships, implement early intervention and prevention activities
- Enhance and support increased First Nations/Multicultural community participation and family functioning
- Provide information, advice and referral pathways
- Increase awareness of children’s wellbeing and adopt a holistic approach to supporting early childhood education in alignment with family and child support to nurture children for learning and life
- Deliver predominantly in remote locations (approximately 60% travel and overnight stays in communities)
Role Context
Our Remote Area Families Service (RAFS) program seeks a passionate and autonomous worker to join the Remote Area Child and Family Team in Longreach. You will work with vulnerable clients in communities and focus on the above areas.
