About the Role
Reporting to theHead of Operations, the Facilities Manager will oversee Aspire's property and maintenance operations, ensuring every centre operates safely, efficiently, and in line with building, fire, and council regulations.
You'll manage our Maintenance Manager and team, lead building compliance and defect rectification programs, and uphold Aspire's presentation and operational standards.
The role requires regular travel across Melbourne and occasional interstate travel to support our expanding network – acompany-provided utewill be available for work-related travel.
This pivotal position ensures our environments support the wellbeing of every child, family, and educator who walks through our doors.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all building compliance, safety, and maintenance across Aspire centres nationally
Manage ESM inspections, reporting, and rectification schedules
Coordinate with builders and contractors to resolve defects and maintain compliance certifications
Lead and support the Maintenance Manager and team to deliver timely, high-quality maintenance outcomes
Manage key supplier relationships across fire safety, HVAC, pest control, waste, and cleaning services
Support new centre builds, ensuring operational readiness prior to opening
Partner with Operations, Quality, and Finance teams to maintain compliance, safety, and cost efficiency
Conduct regular site audits and proactively identify and mitigate risks
About You
Minimum 5 years' experience in facilities or property management (multi-site experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of building compliance and Essential Safety Measures
EPTAC qualification (Essential Safety Measures Compliance) or willingness to obtain
Demonstrated experience managing contractors, budgets, and maintenance programs
Proven leadership capability and operational management experience
Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
Understanding of building systems, including fire safety, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing compliance
Desirable
Experience in the education, childcare, or healthcare sectors
Trade or technical qualification in building or property services
