Bidfood Port Macquarie is seeking a confident and commercially-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales operations. This pivotal role involves directly influencing business performance, team culture, and customer satisfaction.This opportunity allows you to lead, influence, and shape the future of sales at one of Australia’s most respected foodservice providers.You will manage a team of Sales Representatives, collaborate with key customers and national suppliers, introduce new products, lead events, and stay updated on foodservice trends. The focus will be on margin improvement, cost control, and cultural leadership to drive commercial results and maintain a positive, high-performing environment.This hands-on, branch-level leadership role works across departments—from procurement and operations to sales and national support services—to ensure seamless service delivery and growth.Your responsibilities include:Planning and implementing strategies to achieve sales KPIs and branch budgetsManaging, mentoring, and developing a team of Sales RepresentativesMonitoring team performance, providing coaching and supportDeveloping pricing and margin strategies to enhance growth and profitabilityMaintaining and expanding key customer relationshipsLeading engagement with key suppliers and overseeing product introductionsStaying ahead of market and food trends to maintain a competitive edgeManaging supply into the branch collaboratively with procurementOrganising and executing sales and supplier eventsEnsuring alignment across sales, operations, and customer service teamsAbout youYou are a confident leader with a passion for food and a talent for relationship-building. You thrive on challenges, enjoy fast-paced environments, and excel at balancing performance metrics with team motivation. You lead by example, confront challenges directly, and inspire others to do the same.You are commercially savvy—able to analyze data, manage budgets, and make strategic decisions impacting the bottom line.Skills and experienceTo succeed, you should have:Proven experience as a Sales Manager or Senior Sales Representative in food distribution or FMCGStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a teamExcellent commercial acumen—confident with margins, pricing, budgets, and reportingExceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skillsOrganisational and managerial proficiencyHigh computer literacy and quick adaptability to internal systemsExperience working with key customers and large suppliersThe ability to lead cultural initiatives and foster a collaborative, high-performing teamProfessional presentation and high standards of integrityApplicants may be required to undergo a pre-employment medical.About Bidfood Port MacquarieWe are more than just Australia’s leading foodservice distributor; we are a vital part of the foodservice network along the Mid North Coast.
