Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Sales Assistant / Customer Service professional to join our team on-site in Rockhampton, QLD. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, manage sales inquiries, assist in inventory-related tasks, and ensure clients receive accurate and timely information. Your responsibilities will include maintaining client records, addressing customer needs, recommending suitable products, coordinating with the scheduling and delivery teams, and supporting overall operations to enhance customer satisfaction.

- Customer Service and Phone Sales
- Quotes and Tenders via Email
- Purchasing and Receipting
- Stock Transfers
- Eftpos / Banking and Cash Reconciliation
- Quote Follow-up and Internal Sales Development
- Maintaining / Re-stocking Showroom Shelves
- Communicating customer requirements with Warehouse Staff and Truck Drivers
- Administration Tasks for Branch Manager – Quotes, Printing Plans and general administration
- Adherence to OHS and Company policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and clients
- Excellent customer service and communication skills to address customer inquiries and provide solutions effectively
- Knowledge of sales processes and demonstrated sales abilities
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with computer systems and inventory management software. Microsoft Office / Email and database skills
- Proactive sales mindset with the ability to work unprompted
- Familiarity with the construction industry and products is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work well in an on-site setting and contribute to team success
- Team Player
- Forklift ticket - (This would assist with warehousing needs but not a requirement)
