The Production Manager is a key member of the manufacturing leadership team reporting to the Manufacturing Director for the Order Fulfillment and Supply chain (OFS) facility in Agilent Mulgrave. **Roles and Responsibilities**:
- Maintains a safe, healthy and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel to maintain compliance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, as well as good manufacturing practices. This includes coordinating risk assessments, hazard analysis, incident reporting and workplace inspections.
- Works closely with Manufacturing Director to continuously evaluate risks to safety, quality and delivery and proactively implement mitigations to lower potential consequences.
- Coordinates day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensures all SOPs, safety procedures and administrative tasks are accurate, current and performed on time by all direct-reports.
- Coordinates leave, absenteeism, cross-training and is able to process required time cards in the clock card system (TMS)
- Provide guidance and mentorship for new employees and assists in interviewing, hiring and onboarding process for the Manufacturing department.
- Develops and implements solutions to resolve departmental issues, including training, mentoring, motivating, counseling, and disciplining of employees responsible for.
- Establish clear measurable goals and objectives to guide individuals and the team to continuously improve in key operational metrics (Efficiency, On-time delivery, NCM rate etc.)
- Conducts Task Competency Reviews and maintains the Task - Competency Matrix for their area. Also conducts the annual review process for their direct reports to provide feedback for employee development.
- Ensure Trusted Answers for customers by providing quality products that are built in compliance with Agilent and ISO Standards. Work closely with material suppliers, buyers and production planner to resolve quality issues before they impact on production operations through effective CAPA implementations.
- Drive a continuous improvement culture focusing on 5S, Mistake Proofing, Standard Work, Kaizen, AIM and other CI related programs.
- Implement digital solutions in-line with CI activities.
- Ensure successful production setup for the transfer for NPI projects into local manufacturing operations.
- Actively work to improve the sustainability of the manufacturing operations by reducing waste, increasing the use of recyclables or environmentally friendly packaging.
- Monitor and predict assurance of supply issues and work closely with material buyers and planners to mitigate any potential line stops.
- Develop and execute Preventative Maintenance program for core equipment to ensure optimal uptime and performance.

**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent plus directly relevant experience.
- Preferably 5 years' experience in a management role leading production operators, engineers or technicians. Alternatively, be able to demonstrate the equivalent knowledge and skills of a leader who has this level of experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline would be advantageous
