Civmec is NOW HIRING Crane Operators (130t) and Franna Operators to join our Civmec team working on the FMG‑Solomon project, tank installation.
The Role
Reporting to the Leading Hand/Supervisor your key responsibilities are:
* Able to set up cranes to the manufacturer's operator's manual including load charts
* Understand the fundamentals of crane computers
* The crane operator's responsibilities include:
o Knowledge of lever and pedal control
o The daily inspection of the crane
o Operating the crane under general supervision
* Experience with rigging of loads
* Experience handling different types of cranes
* Maintain and keep tools and equipment in a safe and clean condition; lock them away or return to store when not required
* Housekeeping
* Perform other general duties as required
About You
* 2+ years industrial experience as a Crane Operator (130t) or Franna Operator
* Previous construction experience within the mining and resources sector
* High Risk‑Work Licence – Crane Operator (CN, C2, C6, CO) as applicable
* High Risk‑Work Licence – Franna Operator (CN and EWP)
* Working at Heights Ticket within 2 years preferred but not essential
* Confirmed Space Ticket within 2 years preferred but not essential
* Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
* Ability to complete and pass a pre‑employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
