Sunday and 4x days during the week.
The business:
You'll be working for a multi-asset class trading technology software house who offer a complete solution across trading, distribution, and analytics to their clients.
The role:
As an application support engineer, you'll provide technical support to the customers using their bespoke suite of products. These issues will be across multiple levels (Networks, Windows OS and application)where you'll need to respond, as well as plan and deploy new implementations for clients.
Duties:
* Sunday work
along with 4x other days during the week.
* Provide technical support to financial customers (Traders, Brokers, Sell-side and Buy-side firms) via email, phone, and live chat.
* Dive into the root cause analysis of issues by reading through logs and FIX messages.
* Be the 1st POC to troubleshoot, triage and prioritise issues, resolving them efficiently or escalating accordingly.
* Discuss new projects with clients and configure their new application landscapes and aid with onboarding.
* Manage upgrades and migrations of application environments.
Required experience:
* Technical proficiency with investigating and understanding trade executions (Buy/sell, markup, market/limit/stock orders).
* Experience triaging and resolving technical IT issues.
* Exceptional communications skills and ability to proactively learn to resolve issues.
* Financial markets industry knowledge.
Desirable experience:
* FIX protocol/ messaging experience.
* SQL knowledge.
* MT4/MT5 knowledge.
* TCP/IP understanding.

* $90,000-$120,000 base plus super
