About the Opportunity
The successful applicant will be an Occupational Therapist and work in a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the delivery of interdisciplinary educational sessions, and supervising students in an innovative student‐led clinic for older adults in the Shire of Manjimup.
The BASIS clinic (Balance, Ability, Strength, Independence, Support) offers home assessments and exercise programs to improve the lives of older adults and includes individual and group programs. Currently the program runs in Northcliffe and Pemberton, providing students with relevant experiences, including interprofessional opportunities and tailoring student education to meet the identified needs of rural and remote communities.
You will also be providing services to the community when students are not available to ensure continuity of service.
This position is supported by ECU policies and managed by UDRH South West. Supervisor education and support is provided and ongoing.
