In 2026, we’re offering multiple Business Administration Traineeships across a range of Council departments, each providing hands‑on experience, career development, and the chance to complete a Certificate III in Business while you work.
About the Opportunities:
As a Business Administration Trainee, you’ll gain practical experience in real workplace settings while developing the essential skills needed for a successful career. Core duties may include:
- Customer service and reception support
- Handling enquiries (phone, email and counter)
- Data entry, document processing and records management
- Scanning, filing and maintaining accurate documentation
- Assisting with meeting coordination, events, interviews or training
- Supporting administrative workflows within operational teams

About You
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who:
- Are keen to learn and committed to completing a Certificate III in Business
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Can manage time effectively and work as part of a team
- Possess basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to complete required training modules
- Are willing to learn under guidance
- Bring a positive, can‑do attitude to the workplace
- Hold a current C‑Class driver licence (highly regarded)
Some roles may prefer candidates who have completed relevant subjects or have interest in areas such as Human Resources, procurement, customer service, or administration.
