Agency Projects is a national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander not-for-profit organisation based in Naarm (Melbourne), working with First Nations artists, communities and organisations to deliver impactful programs across visual arts, cultural exchange, and creative diplomacy.
We are now seeking a new Chief Executive Officer to lead us into our next chapter. This is an exceptional opportunity for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander leader to guide a small and dedicated team, grow our national and international impact, and champion the role of First Nations art and culture in shaping society.
Responsibilities
* The CEO will be responsible for:
* Leading with cultural authority and strategic vision
* Overseeing the delivery of programs across urban, regional and remote communities
* Building strong partnerships across the arts, government, philanthropic and corporate sectors
* Securing sustainable funding and managing the organisation's financial health
* Supporting governance, compliance, and a culturally safe workplace culture
Qualifications
* We welcome applications from individuals with:
* Deep experience working in or alongside the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander visual arts sector
* Proven leadership and team-building experience
* Skills in strategic thinking, partnership development, and financial oversight
* Strong stakeholder relationships and networks across community and the arts
* A commitment to community-led practice, accountability and transparency
