Barwon Edge is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to oversee our café operations. Located on the tranquil banks of the Barwon River in Newtown, we offer contemporary dining experiences with Middle Eastern influences in a beautiful riverside setting.

Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day operations of restaurant, function, and café kitchens
* Maintain highest standards of hygiene and safety compliance
* Drive development of menus for café, restaurant, and functions
* Manage cost of goods sold (COGS) to ensure profitability
* Oversee kitchen staff performance and development
* Train new chefs and kitchen staff
* Control and direct food preparation processes
* Manage relationships with suppliers and inventory control
Qualifications & experience
* Minimum 2 years experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
* Proven experience in high-volume café and restaurant operations
* Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
* Experience with menu development and cost management
* Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
* Keen eye for detail and strong communication skills
* Ability to work weekends and occasional evenings
