Role Description - Centre Leader - Lara
Rosewall Neighbourhood Centre Inc. is seeking a community-minded Centre Leader to coordinate programs, volunteers and day-to-day operations at Lara Community Centre.
This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys working closely with the community and supporting people to connect, learn new skills and participate in local life.
About the role
The Centre Leader - Lara position is responsible for supporting life-long learning, skill development and personal growth of community members through the management of education and social connection programs at the Lara Community Centre. The position ensures the smooth day-to-day operations at the Lara site and oversees the organisation’s volunteer program.
Skills, experience, and competencies
The right candidate for this role will have:
* Tertiary qualification in Adult and Vocational Education, Community Services, Community Development (or similar) or TAFE-level qualification with relevant experience.
* Demonstrated skills and experience in planning, delivering and evaluating community programs.
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work with people from a variety of backgrounds.
* Applied knowledge of community development principles.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a small team environment.
Hours
25 hours per week (across 4 days).

Neighbourhood House Collective Agreement (NHACE) 2024 Level 5
Location
The primary work location is the Lara Community Centre, Waverley Road, Lara
The successful applicant must have proof of right to work in Australia, and will require a current Police Check and Working With Children Check.
