Family Support Professional
The Family Coach will provide critical support to families facing emerging vulnerabilities. This role focuses on developing and facilitating peer support groups for parents, fostering meaningful connections.
You will manage a caseload of families requiring short-term or group interventions, supporting parent-child relationships and contributing to case planning processes. The position involves assessing family needs, connecting them with relevant services, and offering practical and emotional support.
This role includes maintaining accurate case records, participating in collaborative case reviews, and working closely with other professionals and agencies.
* Relevant tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, child and family social welfare or related discipline.
* 2 to 5 years' experience and skills in trauma informed practice and family violence, alcohol or other drug and/or mental health within children, youth and family service delivery or similar.
* Highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Key qualifications include:
* Understanding of the impact of family violence on families and ability to apply a gendered family violence lens when working with clients.
* Able to work independently, whilst contributing strongly as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
