About the program
The Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) program is a collaborative service between Wellways and Monash Health. A Wellways PARC offers an individualised approach to supporting recovery from mental health challenges. There are five PARC sites across the South East of Melbourne, including a Women's PARC (Springvale), Youth PARC (Dandenong), Extended PARC (Narre Warren) and two Adult PARCS (Clayton and Narre Warren).
The service is a step-down and step-up sub-acute mental health service. PARCs are located in a community setting and provide an option for people who are becoming unwell, or who are in the early stages of recovery from an acute illness and need a short period of additional support to strengthen their gains from spending time in an inpatient setting and to consolidate their community transition and recovery treatment plans.
Clinical intervention provided to PARC through the Area Mental Health Service. The program is staffed 24/7 and includes day, afternoon and sleepover shifts.
About the opportunity
As a Wellbeing Worker (Mental Health Worker), you'll play a key role at PARC, supporting participants through their recovery journey. You'll provide one-to-one support, facilitate groups and activities, and work closely with clinical and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, recovery-focused care.
Using your understanding of mental health, resilience, and recovery-oriented practice, you'll empower participants to identify goals, build confidence, and make positive changes in their lives. You'll also contribute to daily operations and service improvements, helping ensure positive experiences for participants and their loved ones.
To be successful in this role
* Diploma in Mental Health, AOD or related field or tertiary qualifications in social science or related discipline
* Experience in mental health Residential settings will be highly regarded.
* Current valid Driver's License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
* Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check
* Right to Work within Australia
* Satisfactory National Police Records Check
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
