S&N Beauty Pty Ltd is located in Shop4/143-147 Somerville Blvd, Winthrop WA 6150 and looking for an experienced hairdresser with enthusiasm and passion for providing hairdressing services to customers. We will provide a supportive environment for our team. Our shop is committed to preparing and presenting high quality hairstyles and services to meet and exceed our customer expectations; we are a well-known hair shop showcasing trendy hair art.
Position: Full Time Hairdresser
Responsibilities
* Provide full salon services including shampoos, conditioning, and drying hair, and apply other products to hair to aid in straightening, curling, or styling. Cut, trim, and style hair or hair pieces according to clients' preferences/needs.
* Attend to and understand clients' preferences/needs.
* Recommend hairstyles and haircuts according to clients' face shapes and tastes.
* Wash, shampoo, condition and dry, as well as blow-dry clients' hair.
* Suggest various haircuts and styling options according to the client's preference or their face shape.
* Provide different types of hair treatments including color-protecting creams and hydrating masks, and suggest different colouring methods like highlights, global colouring and balayage.
* Use professional equipment for hair styling tools such as scissors, trimmers, straighteners, curlers and blow dryers.
* Suggest and create hairstyles for special events such as weddings, birthdays/parties and photo shoots.
* Recommend hair care solutions to protect clients' hair and products such as therapeutic oils, hair masks and serums.
* Provide head massages during shampooing, hot towel treatments and root retouching for hair protection.
* Recommend and sell in-store hair products according to clients' needs/preferences.
* Educate junior staff in hair styling and monitor their performance.
* Check and maintain hair care products to prevent shortages.
* Manage and schedule appointments to minimise client waiting time and maintain tidiness and cleanliness of the shop, including cleaning of all used hairdressing tools.
Qualifications & Skills
* Excellent communication skills and good listening ability.
* Ability to motivate staff and provide leadership.
* Positive, cheerful attitude.
* Proven work experience as a hair stylist or hairdresser.
* Skills and knowledge of a wide range of haircuts suitable for all hair lengths, including hair straightening and curling methods using hot irons and curlers.
* Up-to-date with the latest hair trends.
