A day in the life of a Residential Accommodation Disability Support Worker at Yooralla
Supporting clients in daily activities such as shopping, appointments, and events, assisting with daily living and personal care needs, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility. You will be working towards their goals and supporting their independence.
We’re looking for people who are passionate, have a great attitude, and an eagerness to learn. You’ll share Yooralla’s values and have:
- A positive approach, initiative, and self-motivation
- Willingness to be committed to empowering our clients to reach their goals and uphold quality and safeguards in your daily work
- Effective communication skills and good English literacy to communicate well with our clients
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team
- Willingness to support clients with personal care activities
- Australian Driver’s Licence
- The right to work in Australia
- The ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification if not already held
A Certificate IV in Disability, relevant work experience, or an interest in community services would be advantageous. If not, don’t worry—Yooralla provides excellent training and support, and can even support you to work and study. You may have transferable skills to bring to the role.
You will be subject to an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
