Overview
Summary: Permanent full time day work, on-call roster when required. Working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing ASAP. $300,216 - $310,389 per annum, pro rata + 12% super.
The Position
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Staff Specialists - Psychiatrists to join this multidisciplinary Mental Health Services team in North-West Tasmania, with opportunities across other locations statewide. In this role, you will deliver high-quality mental health care in accordance with Mental Health Service principles, National Mental Health Standards, agency policies, legal requirements, and relevant professional competencies.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive general inpatient and community psychiatric services in the north west region of Tasmania.
* Act as a consultant to mental health professionals and health service providers, including general practitioners and other agencies, regarding the assessment and management of individuals with mental health disorders.
* Undertake supervisory responsibilities with Registrars/Career Medical Officers, Resident Medical Officers and other medical staff as required/appropriate.
