Job Summary:
Allied Health Support Professional
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Allied Health Support Professional to provide clinical and administrative support to our multidisciplinary healthcare team.
As an Allied Health Support Professional, you will be responsible for assisting with patient treatment, supervising and assisting patients in exercise routines, and participating in staff education programs as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing clinical assistance to physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nursing, and other healthcare professionals
* Monitoring the environment and implementing safe work practices
* Participating in staff education programs as required
* Assisting with patient transfers, dressing, and showering in hydrotherapy (if applicable)
* Identifying client circumstances that need additional input from the treating allied health caregiver or nurse unit manager
* Ensuring infection control procedures are strictly adhered to in all areas
* Reporting hazards regarding patients promptly to the treating allied health caregiver or nurse unit manager
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or suitable experience, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills, organisational abilities, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
