The Opportunity

Reporting to the Case Manager within the Office of General Counsel, play a pivotal role in safeguarding institutional integrity and ensuring procedural fairness. This values-led position in the Conduct and Investigations Office suits a professional who champions Fairness and Trust, ensuring complaints and misconduct matters are managed with consistency, empathy, and strict adherence to natural justice principles. Contribute to a fair, transparent and compliant approach across the University by triaging and coordinating matters end-to-end, guiding stakeholders with clear, expert advice, and strengthening capability through data-driven improvement.

* Triage, assess, and coordinate the fair and timely management of complaints and student misconduct reports from intake through to resolution.
* Administer hearings and panels to ensure robust governance while providing expert guidance to stakeholders, faculties, and staff on sensitive matters.
* Drive continuous improvement and strengthen capability across Western by analysing trends, maintaining high-quality records, and implementing system enhancements to reduce risk.

This is a full‑time, ongoing position based at our Parramatta South campus with hybrid working arrangements available.

About You

We are searching for a resilient and discreet professional who can balance empathy with operational efficiency. You are organized, detail-oriented, and capable of navigating complex regulatory frameworks while maintaining high service quality. You will bring:

* A tertiary qualification and extensive experience in complaint and/or misconduct handling.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
* Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a complex environment, with sound Microsoft 365 proficiency and meticulous recordkeeping.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to varied audiences.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a complex environment. Desirable:
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and robust record-keeping skills.

Desirable:

* Knowledge of the Complaint Management Policy and Student Misconduct Rule, experience delivering training, and familiarity working with external agencies such as Ombudsman offices.

Remuneration Package:

HEW Level 6 $113,344 to $121,488 p.a. (comprising Salary of $95,777 to $102,659 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading).
