Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team and support the delivery of a key telecommunication fibre infrastructure project in South Australia. This role is critical to the success of the project, and we need someone who can lead by example, build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and manage construction phases of large, complex infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing strong leadership skills, interacting with the pre-contracts team in assisting with tendering, methodology, scheduling, and cost estimating, managing internal self-perform and subcontractor resources, and coordinating project delivery activities to achieve project time, budget, and quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Provide strong leadership skills
* Interact with the pre-contracts team in assisting with tendering, methodology, scheduling, and cost estimating
* Manage internal self-perform and subcontractor resources
* Coordinate project delivery activities to achieve project time, budget, and quality objectives
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management, or other relevant field
* Strong self-perform experience, running multi-disciplinary crews on multiple work fronts
* Demonstrated experience establishing resource plans and ramping up workforce accordingly
* Experience managing regional workforce in FIFO arrangements
* Proven success managing complex infrastructure projects above $25M contract value
* Sound knowledge of project financial management, forecasting, procurement, contract, and design management functions
