Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) has posted an opening for an audio journalist to be based in Port Macquarie. The person will be assigned to cover events in Port Macquarie and the mid‐North Coast. They will then produce engaging news stories for on‐air listeners and digital audiences. The candidate must have a great degree of experience in commercial radio, including production of news copy and reading bulletins, plus proficiency with the NewsBoss system. They should also show deep interest in covering the local community and cultivate contacts from them. The application packet should comprise a CV, cover letter, and an audio demo.
