Overview
An exciting opportunity is now open for an experienced and committed Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) Level 2 to join the leadership team in the Emergency Department at Gosford Hospital. This is a key leadership role in one of the most critical departments in the hospital, where your expertise and guidance will influence patient outcomes, staff wellbeing, and the overall performance of the unit.
About The Role

As the Nurse Unit Manager (Level 2), you will play a central role in shaping the delivery of emergency care, leading a team of nursing professionals, and making a real difference to the lives of patients and their families every day.
You will be responsible for overseeing the coordination of clinical services, ensuring timely, safe, and person-centred care is delivered to those who need it most. In this role you will provide hands-on leadership, guide and support your team, and foster a culture where staff feel empowered, valued, and supported to grow.

About You
* Proven leadership experience in an acute care or emergency department setting, with the ability to manage a team in a high-pressure environment.
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
* Experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing staff, supporting team members to grow professionally and deliver their best.
* Ability to lead with integrity, inspire through action, and contribute to a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Strong skills in clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement, with a passion for evidence-based practice.
* Confidence in managing workforce planning, rosters, and resource allocation, with a sound understanding of financial and operational responsibilities.
