Role Overview
We are seeking a HD Fitters to join our maintenance team at the Sanjiv Ridge project, an iron ore mine owned by Atlas Iron, located approximately 240 kilometres from Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
As part of our team you will work on a fleet that includes CAT 785D, CAT 785C dump trucks, Komatsu and Liebherr R excavators, CAT777D watercarts, CAT 16M graders, CAT D10T dozers, and Epiroc T45 drill rigs.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this role include troubleshooting and fault finding of complex mechanical and hydraulic problems, performing preventative and breakdown maintenance, and ensuring work health & safety procedures and policies are followed. Additional routine maintenance and mechanical repairs on the aforementioned fleet are expected.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Relevant Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
* Experience with surface mining equipment fleet
* Ability to troubleshoot and fault find complex mechanical and hydraulic problems
* Experience in preventative and breakdown maintenance
* Excellent communication skills
* Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
* Good knowledge of work health & safety procedures and policies
