is currently seeking a
Mechanical Fitter or Diesel Mechanic
to join their maintenance team. This role is
part-time, with work available on Saturdays only
– ideal for someone looking to supplement their income or stay hands-on in the industry with flexible hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and scheduled maintenance on trucks
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
Complete inspections and ensure vehicles meet compliance and safety standards
Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and work orders
Work independently with minimal supervision during the shift
Uphold workshop safety, cleanliness, and operational standards
Set-up and maintenance of mobile plant, including excavators, loaders, and articulated dump trucks (ADTs)
Must be prepared to drive or learn to drive dump trucks as required
Ideally, you will have:
Experience in mechanical maintenance and servicing of trucks and/or plant equipment
Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner or Diesel Mechanic (advantageous, but not essential)
Tickets in Working at Heights, Confined Space, and EWP (preferred)
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
The ability to pass an industry-standard medical and Drug & Alcohol test
