The Role
Product Designer: Own the connective tissue of the product, design, prototype, and ship features with engineers, ensuring cohesive, quiet, and precise user experiences.
Location: Sydney or Melbourne. Exceptional candidates outside these locations may be considered.
Responsibilities
* Own design quality across the product, catching inconsistencies before shipping.
* Design, prototype, and ship features alongside engineers without handoffs.
* Explore and define the look and feel of AI‐powered clinical software.
* Contribute to a design system that establishes consistency as the default.
* Push CSS fixes, build prototypes, and open PRs for polish that shouldn't wait for a sprint.
* Share work early, give honest critique, and raise the team's craft bar.
Qualifications
* Portfolio showing visible craft and design impact.
* Comfortable designing in Figma and shipping code or using tools like Cursor or Claude.
* Strong sense of easing curves, optical vs mathematical alignment, and stress‐testing components at edge cases.
* Ability to explain design decisions with component‐level insight.
* Proactive ownership: fix broken patterns in production rather than filing tickets.
