About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Cardiac Physiologist to join the Allied Health Cardiology team. In this role you will independently conduct routine cardiac physiology diagnostic investigations and assist with complex investigations and therapeutic interventions for both adult and paediatric populations. You will also conduct research, quality management and change management projects to enhance positive patient outcomes, provide education and training to staff and students, and contribute to the continual professional development of the cardiac physiology group.
Responsibilities
* Conduct routine and complex cardiac physiology diagnostic investigations and therapeutic interventions in accordance with procedures and standards for adult and paediatric patients.
* Engage in research, quality management and change management projects to improve patient outcomes.
* Educate and train staff and students in cardiac physiology practices.
* Participate in the continual professional development of the cardiac physiology group.
* Adapt and remain flexible to accommodate change and provide responsive services to meet client needs.
* Apply strong critical thinking to form defensible conclusions based on evidence and sound judgement.
* Maintain professional relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
* Strong organisational skills, flexibility, and adaptability to change.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
* Critical thinking skills and the ability to form defensible conclusions based on evidence.
* Current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011.
* Compliance with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
* Compliance with CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.
* Pre‐employment National Police Check.
* Experience in cardiac physiology practice (required).
