Your Impact
Lead the creation and evolution of technical rules and planning standards that guide Horizon Power's future networks.
Tackle complex challenges in renewable energy integration, consumer energy resources (CER), and battery storage technologies.
Mentor and develop planning engineers, fostering excellence and technical rigor across the organisation.
Represent Horizon Power with industry bodies and stakeholders, shaping best practice and influencing the wider energy sector.
Build strong, strategic relationships across internal and external partners to ensure alignment on standards, innovation pathways, and regulatory compliance.
What Sets You Apart
A tertiary qualification in Engineering; Chartered status is highly regarded.
Deep expertise in power system planning, modelling, and technical writing (PowerFactory experience is desirable).
Proven experience working with renewables, battery systems, and consumer energy resources.
Outstanding communication skills with a strong capability in translating complex technical concepts into high-quality documentation.
A collaborative, influential style with the ability to quickly build trust across senior stakeholders.
Strong project management capabilities - balancing technical depth with strategic vision.
