We are seeking an experienced Communications Specialist to join a major transformation program within a government-owned organisation. This 12-month labour hire contract offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a critical technology and infrastructure modernisation initiative.
**About the Role**
As part of the Project Communications Team of three, you will support a portfolio of programs and projects, ensuring effective communication and engagement across all levels of the organisation. This hybrid role is based in Melbourne or Brisbane, offering flexibility to work two days from home. You will play a key role in translating complex technical concepts into clear, engaging narratives tailored to diverse audiences, including executives, technical teams, and frontline staff.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement communication and stakeholder engagement strategies that align with program goals and project milestones.
- Support portfolio and project teams in mapping interdependencies, ensuring alignment, and driving consistent messaging.
- Craft high-quality, audience-specific materials, including e-newsletters, videos, presentations, FAQs, and talking points.
- Collaborate with project teams and senior stakeholders to ensure all stakeholders are engaged and informed.
- Manage digital communication platforms (e.g., SharePoint, MS Workplace, Yammer) and leverage emerging communication trends.
- Ensure compliance with organisational style guides and approval processes.
**Key Skills and Experience**:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and persuasively.
- Strong understanding of communication trends and emerging digital tools.
- Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint and Excel), Canva, and Adobe publishing tools.
- Background in change transformation or Design Thinking.
- Experience in project management and/or change management, particularly in infrastructure or technology sectors.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical transitions.
